Movers of San Antonio

I scheduled a move with Movers of San Antonio for the minimum two hour period on July 31, 2017. Two movers showed up at my apartment and immediately started telling me it would take more than the two hour minimum to move my (10-15) items to my new location. They had me speak to the manager of the company on the phone prior to loading my items into the truck. When I spoke with the manager I explained that I had moved EVERYTHING myself except for large items such as my bed, dresser, etc. The manager said that should be no problem at all, and directed the movers to proceed. The movers wrapped, and loaded all my items in an hour into their moving truck. At that point they stated I had to pay prior to them delivering to my new residence. I paid the $119.08 + I gave the two movers a $20.00 tip each. We drove to my new location, and the movers started unloading my items. They took my bed mattress up to my new apartment and then I noticed them unloading my items onto the ground outside of my apartment. Then I noticed the moving truck taking off out of my complex, with all my items still sitting outside on the ground! They did not even tell me they were leaving and they had only spent about 30 min there at that location. I called the office and told the woman I spoke with what the movers had done and that I wanted a full refund of my $40.00 tip back because they clearly did not deserve it, and I requested different movers come and finish the job. I was told they would charge me for an additional hour for the new crew to come out. I had not even received the full two hours the first trip they did not complete their job, not to mention I had to wait about an hour and a half for the second crew to come. What choice did I have at that point; my belongings were sitting outside on the ground. I requested that she NOT send the same movers because I was extremely upset with the men that left. Needless to say one mover was new and the other was one from the first go round. The new mover “Darnell” a very nice guy who tried to justify his company’s actions came on the second trip and stated that the company sent me two rookies the first time because they THOUGHT they could handle it but apparently they could not. He stated that what I had to move was nothing and it wouldn’t take more than 30 min – which is the time I should have had left on the first trip when they decided to leave. To top it off Darnell let me know that the first two movers broke my couch and did not tell me. Darnell stated he put in a claim form regarding the couch and I should hear from Movers of San Antonio in 7 – 10 business days. Darnell also stated that the first guys left my washing machine hoses at my old apartment and I replied, then you need to go get them and bring them over, he stated that at that time his manager said to leave the site. I called to speak with the manager or owner of Movers of San Antonio and they would not take my call. I asked Darnell to have the manager call me. Darnell stated that the manager did not want to speak with me and he was not going to be returning my call. Due to the fact that they did not complete my move the first time, left my belongings on the ground outside, broke my couch, forgot my washing machine hoses, charged me an additional hour, and the manager was intentionally ignoring me I felt taken advantage of and miss treated. The manager even had the gall to tell me to grow up, and that he hopes I am not a parent. This was by far the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I would advise you to find another moving company; this company needs a change in leadership and ethics. I am expecting the $40.00 refund to show up on my card for the tip I gave within the next few business days, and ...
