Stabilizing more than just your home.

General Info
Unstable soil conditions are a chronic problem in Texas, with the native clay soil shrinking or swelling with changes in moisture conditions. This persistent shrinking and swelling plays havoc on foundations, which leads to cosmetic and structural damage. Most residential structures were not built to withstand significant changes in soil conditions and as a result, foundation problems are widespread. We use a variety of methods to repair foundations. The most common is Durapile. Land Stabilizers also uses chemical injection using Ionic Exchange Chemicals to stabilize the soil. 1.) Ionic Exchange Chemicals change the soil from a negative charge to a positive charge. Since water has a positive charge, the water is repelled, much like trying to touch tow magnets together. This process disallows any water to re-enter the soil and allowing it to expand. 2.) Chemical Injections have proven to be the most effective means to treat soil with a high Plasticity Index as well as High Clay content. 3.) Regardless of periods of drought or water saturation, soils treated with Ionic Exchange Chemicals will remain constant and since they are independent of moisture levels, the injection process can be completed 50% faster using less water – thus saving both time and money. 4.) Soils injected with Ionic Exchange Chemicals consistently yield back results of less than 2% swelling and often time less than 1%. 5.) It also increases the soils load-bearing capacity by 40 to 60%...a BIG plus when building a sturcutre on the injected site. Ionic Exchange Chemicals are an EARTH-FRIENDLY (GREEN) chemical.
