Comet Cleaners

I've been taking my dry cleaning to this location for several years (maybe 10+). I no longer live close to this location but I will drive out of my way to use this location. The woman always remembers my name and smiles when she greets me. This is small but goes a long way for me.

After I had posted a bad review (read 1st review below) regarding my experience. The actual owner (DeZavala Rd) called to hear "my side of the story". After explaining what had happened to my son's christening outfit, he questioned all my accusations and I did not appreciate his tone he took with me on the phone. He never offered a remedy to the situation. His phone call made me very upset and I felt his goal was to harrass me and he succeeded. He praised his store on customer service but he is sooo far from the truth. A true owner who has excellent customer service experience would have called and made an offer to remedy the situation but according to this owner he made sure to let me know "how much of their time was involved with preserving the christening outfit" ..........well, what about my time?? .............. you know "the customer". Really, how long can it take to put scotch tape on a box......as I called around and spoke to managers of other cleaners.....they laughed about the scotch tape and I made sure to let them know which location this occurred at. The scotch tape issue has become a funny topic on many phone calls with other cleaners.



I would not doubt it if the owner typed the positive review posted recently...how sad!



Since this has happened, I have taken the outfit to a reputable cleaner (Culpepper's). They pressed and preserved the outfit. I couldn't have asked for better service. They cleaned, pressed and preserved the outfit, which turned out very professional. Highly recommend any Culpepper's location.

I have been using Comet Cleaners for years at the same location at De Zavala. The workers are very kind and treat me with the upmost care. My clothes always come back in great condition. I have tried other competitors but I have not been able to match their quality and service to Comet. They also have the most affordable prices compared to all the others. I would recommend Comet to everyone I know and whoever is looking for a great cleaners with great service.

I brought my son's christening outfit to this location for it to be preserved.

The whole experience was upsetting and I will never use this and or any Comet Cleaners in the future.

The outfit was transferred to the Bandera location to be preserved. Originally, the outfit was packed wrong. (The outfit included a christening blanket, outfit, hat and shoes - all 100% silk). A lot of time and money was invested into this outfit and they treated it with NO respect like I had dropped off an old t-shirt. The second packing of the outfit, the box was sealed with SCOTH tape !!!!! which of course came undone when I got it home and opened it to see all the items packed thru the sealed window. The whole outfit slipped out!! I have complained and wanted my money back and I was happy to return this "SPECIAL BOX" that was ordered for the preservation. But of course, no money back...just an offer to repack it in a "NEW BOX"....what do you think the chances are that this outfit will get packed correctly the 3rd time ??!!?? and what are the chance I will truely get a "NEW BOX"...probably ZERO!!



Do not use Comet Cleaners if you truely have something special to be preserved unless of course you don't care and want bad service...then Comet Cleaners is the place to go !

Make sure to ask for it to be preserved at the Bandera Location and ask for the "lady" who has 12yrs experience who so made sure to notify me by phone and on a post-it note (left on my box) letting me know of her 12yrs experience. This is a total joke because she made a fool of herself and Comet Cleaners be sealing my box with SCOTCH tape!
