        Overall

        The review posted previously by Alfredo M is incorrect and misleading. The owner of the Protege, Alfredo, dropped the vehicle off at the shop against my advice since we were fully booked already. After diagnosing the vehicle it turned out that the engine would need to be replaced or rebuilt. The owner decided against my diagnosis and demanded to only have the head gasket replaced. The work was performed and the engine was able to be turned on and held compression barely. After another leakdown test was performed a bad piston ring was again verified. The owner took delivery of the car and immediately drove it to Del Rio. The owner never complained of anything being wrong and still calls regularly to inquire about service. After seeing this review I felt my side of the story should be told.

        Overall

        -5 stars,I took my mazda protege for a head gasket job which should only take 4-6 weeks, the mechanic David took over 3 months to try to fix it, he was way overpriced and to top it of did not complete the job. I had to take my car to another mechanic in which he did fix the damage that David did.
