Forest Hills Pet Care

I have been going to see Dr Gold for over 7 years. He used to be really great. I had gotten used to him being extremely socially awkward but this social awkwardness ended up turning against us when my dog had an infection in her foot and he just guessed what it was without even looking at her foot. He told us she needed surgery and to come back. We waited for him to explain what was going on and he didn't. We came back after the surgery and we asked what to do for her after we get home and the vet assistant or cashier was more concerned with getting paid then getting us answers. I have decided to no longer see Dr Gold. He has upped his prices and is so socially awkward it is annoying and may cause people to lose their animals.

Dr. Gold truly cares about animals and is very knowledgeable. I have been taking cat Sugar to him for more than three years and he has saved her life. I am so grateful my sister recommended him. Thank you Dr. Gold!

This place is horrible, I would say the good reviews for it must be fake! I took my dog in because he was walking with a limp. I waited a good 20 minutes for "Dr." Gold to come in, quickly examine my dog and decide it was his breed and I should stop running him. That was his answer to the problem. I paid for him for a 2 minute exam and got no answers. He acted like I was a crazy fool and my dog should be pitied because he is not full bred. This was unacceptable to me so I took him to another vet, whom checked my dog's heartbeat, looked at my dog's teeth, took his temperature (something "Dr." Gold didn't even bother doing!!!) He quickly discovered that my dog has a torn ACL, something common and should have been considered in my initial appointment. I'm very angry and frustrated with the way I was treated at Forest Hills and am glad that I found someone competent and loving to take my pup to. I will NEVER take my dog to Forest Hills again.

Dr. Gold has been so helpful with my dog when he's had "stomach problems". He explains how to use the medication, and what to look for if he's not feeling better. The prices are great. I called the Banfield clinic in Petsmart & Forest Hills to check dental cleaning prices, and Forest Hills was over $100 less!! They are great and he doesn't seem to mind that my dog hides under the chair and just barks at him.

Dr. Gold and staff have served my family of pets for over 16 years. They have seen us through many ups and downs and have always been caring and helpful. Dr. Charles Gold has often made a special effort to teach me about what is going on with my pet - and has worked with me on finances when there have been emergencies. I appreciate everyone there.
