In some situations, state and federal laws may further restrict how we use or disclose your information for treatment, payment and health care operations. For example, certain treatment records, test results, conversations with mental health professionals, or information about minors may have additional restrictions on the use or disclosure of such information. In such situations, UCS will make sure it complies fully with such laws.

Radiology
When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers can bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist, or intensivist services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.
X-Rays
Nuclear Medicine
Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging is a diagnostic procedure used in nuclear medicine to visualize metabolically active tissue using sugar or glucose molecules. These molecules, labeled with radioactive Fluorine-18, will be detected by the PET/CT scanner to generate images showing the extent of your disease

Through OCM, patients are free to choose any health care provider and Medicare rights and protections remain the same. Practices participating in the Oncology Care Model will provide treatment following nationally recognized clinical guidelines for beneficiaries undergoing chemotherapy, with an emphasis on person-centered care.
Radiation Therapy
Hormonal Therapy is designed to remove, block or add hormones to your body to impact the growth of certain cancer cells and tumors. This can be done by medication, surgical removal of the hormone-producing glands, or by radiation therapy.
