UPC Insurance

Have had coverage on my 1959 home in Sarasota with UPC.... They supposedly surveyed my house without my knowledge in 2011 and have decided in 2017 to not renew coverage due to "Roof is not eligible under current guidelines." What are the current guidelines and how to fix rather than just drop coverage. I understand from my insurance broker that I am not the only one! Should be allowed to fix before cancellation. They just are a money making machine.

Be careful of their bait & switch tactics. My agent shopped homeowners coverage for me & UPC Insurance came back with one of the better quotes using the declarations page from the previous year. I accepted and paid the premium in full. Two months later, UPC sends me a notice billing me an additional $1350 in premium. My agent said she has never seen such a high dollar change in a policy and we immediately sent in a cancellation and request for refund. To date, we have not received the refund, only the termination of insurance notice. Totally ripped me off.
