Very rude. I had used this company a few months ago for a simple repair. When I called last week to inquire about a larger repair and explain my problem the man on the telephone was quite rude, He told me that it appeared that I did not know what I wanted and that he was too busy to talk to me and he hung up on me.
I am giving a one star rating because the website requires it - I would actually give NO stars if I could

I needed a drain hose for a washer. Stopped here and was told they had one. When they brought it out it was used. The charge was $10.70 and I took it because I was tired of driving all over town. I installed it and first load of laundry flooded my garage. I checked it and sure enough it had a hole in it. I decided to go online and order and found out a brand new hose with two clamps and no holes was only $10.28 delivered for free. Buyer beware. Never let your guard down with these guys

Bought a washer and dryer stackable from these crooks in 2014 we have had them come out atleast 3 times to replace things we eventually got tired and started replaced by the parts with new parts. In 2015 this company came out and replaced our lid switch less than a year later the washer stops draining and spinning (AGAIN) my husband diagnoses the problem as the lid switch and calls the company to get a a new part. After he removes the old lid switch they replaced he notice it is melted and burnt. Takes the old part back to American appliance and instead of telling my husband what the problem is they tell him they would never put a part in someone's washer that looks like this this and it wasn't them. Idiots I have the labor receipt! Moral of the story is they put used malfunctioning parts on ur appliance. Just buy the parts and do it yourself don't call them!!

ordered 1st. fridge it didn't work on delivery.whole week-end no fridge.they dropped my back-up fridge down the stairs moving it to garage.2nd. fridge worked 3 months then died.told them Ive had hamsters that lived longer than their fridges and were a lot colder after they died.paid another $100 for 3rd. fridge it lasted 4-5 months then Freon tank leaked out and they said it was too costly to replace Freon tank. no refund or pro-rated refund...nothing just ;what unit do you want to buy next?went to home depot for new refridgerator...don't deal with these people

I stopped at 4 different used appliance shops -- new and used -- looking for a washer. They had what I needed, at a reasonable price. Free delivery and pickup of old washer. I stopped in after noon on Saturday. They were able to deliver that afternoon, even though they had said it would be Monday. Best and most honest guarantee of all the used shops I talked to. Will do business with them again.

Well I brought in my dryer to American Appliance to have it looked at, it was no longer turning on.... They look at it and let us know that it was something wrong with a signal on the door??? Anyway it was $40 and thought that was a fair price. We decided to bring in our washer because we were missing a pin that held the tub in place causing it to run a little loader than it should, they let us know that the washer was over filling due to the electrical panel. told us it would be $400 to fix! Well we decided not to fix and took it home to scrap it. We ended up buying a new set and selling the dryer on craigslist. To make a long story short our new dryer wouldn't start either, come to find out the old dryer was perfectly fine and it was our outlet that was bad, yet American Appliance didn't bother to tell us that the dryer worked fine at their facility... to make matters worse the person who purchased the dryer from us on craigslist also took the washer for free, and called me to tell me that the washer got fixed for $20!!!! a clogged drain hose was all that was wrong with it!!!! Either someone there does not know what they are doing or they tried to rip us off... DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS.... Will not be back and will not recommend them. As you can see from other reviews, not a good company. Wish I would have read these reviews before taking my machines there.

I called after having a tenant try to reach them for a week, no one answers the phones. I tried calling for a week to no avail. Once I reached them they told me no one had called or faxed that address to conduct a repair. I tried explaining my situation and the man said that no one by that name (mine) had ever done business with them without even checking. They asked questions at random, and got mad when I tried to explain my situation. The owner (Fred Craig) hung up the phone on me, so I called back. I explained to the lady that someone had hung up on me, so she gets a tone in her voice, and raises her voice to me and says "hes the owner, he can do whatever he wants and say whatever he wants." I used to do business with them but now this has thrown me over the edge. I hope this write-up is helpful.

I've used American Appliance several times in the past for my rental apartment appliance needs and every single time I've had problems with them. They never show up when they are supposed to, they bring faulty appliances that last a few months if not weeks and their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. I now use "U Save Appliances" and have had great luck with their fast, dependable service. Save yourself a lot of stress, don't use American Appliance Company.

I've used American Appliance twice and both times was a nightmare, poor quality used refrigerators and rude, unreliable service. They never showed up when scheduled and two days later they showed up without even a phone call. The refrigerator was missing a drain pan and I was promised one the following day but they never brought it and when I called to inquire about it the man was very nasty and rude to me. I will never do business with them again and hope you'll find a better used appliance center to deal with for your needs (there's lots of them around). Thanks!

Unless you go to the store ,you will not be able to contact anyone at the store. No one answers the phone! after calling several times during the posted store hours I sent an e-mail and a fax and still can't get anyone to respond. It is pretty bad when you can't spend your money at an establishment.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE.
