St. Paul Police Impound Lot

I am really disappointing at the police and this impound lot. My car was stolen and I've report to the police. I gave them my cell phone number and told them to call me when they found my car. After 3 weeks later, I have never gotten any call from the police. I decided to give the impound lot a call to see if my car was in there. Then they told me that my car was in the lot like 2 weeks ago. I was really mad because no one even told me that my car was found and had no miss call from the police or the impound lot. This lot charge like 15$ per day storage which I had to paid around 400$ to get my car back. This impound lot and the police is just trying to cheat our citizen's money. Please do your job right and stop cheating people's money. At least give me a call or send me a letter in the mail. Even if I did not pick up call again tomorrow or leave a voice message. But nothing? I'm really disappointed. If someone's car was stolen, I bet he/she will already be mad about it. Then they go carless for 2-3 weeks and wait for a call back from the police but never receive one and then found out it was already in the impound lot 2-3 weeks ago and had to pay tons of money because no one called them about it. Would you be mad? I WOULD.
