South Metro Human Services is a nonprofit organization that serves people who suffer from mental disabilities. It provides housing assistance to homeless people through the Community Foundations, which is an intensive residential treatment services program. The organization has a work force of more than 250 employees, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, therapists and support staff. South Metro Human Services offers psychological assessment services that include diagnostic interviews and intellectual, personality and cognitive testing. The organization additionally offers rehabilitative and consulting, as well as case, money and medication management services. It offers group therapy services that include illness management and recovery and dual disorder treatment. South Metro Human Services provides forensic evaluation and crisis intervention services. The organization offers training sessions for the development of household management, cooking, memory and scheduling and grocery shopping, and communication and relationship skills.
