Overall
A great place to start growing!

I'm a single mom with two spirited kids. I've been going to this church for one year, and am enjoying the closeness, with other believers and with God, that I haven't seen at other places. The sermons aren't condemnatory, but they somehow place you in the right frame of mind, where you just want to seek God's way, and be closer to Him. I have grown until this moment, as a result of the great teachings from the church, and the inclusiveness of groups that they have there. I know that I will continue to go forward from here, as well, and if I stumble, my friends at the Mount will be there for me, to pick me up, dust me off, and give me the love and the healing words and prayers that I need. Some of the kindest people that I've ever met since becoming a Minnesotan are the people right here in this church. I don't think I've ever been this close to God, and I know that my kids are happier and healthier as a result of our membership here. I'm so pleased to have come here, in the several years that I've searched for a solid Bible church in this district, I haven't found one so living and thriving in Christ, and in the things that He is doing in and with the church today.

As far as pastoral staff seeming aloof (a previous comment), I am sad to see this happened. I know my own experience to be the opposite, so I'm hoping this was an isolated incident. It's totally worth bringing up if you have a problem like this - I know that I've gone to the pastor for different things, and he's alwyas listened to me, and been kind and helpful. That's the experience that I have had. The same week that I arrived, that same pastor knew the names of everyone in my family, and hea nd his wife were very warm and receiving of us. My kids are excited to go with me to church, now. I'm pretty comfortable coming to any of the staff when I need help, and I know the Elijah House program has been known for helping a lot of people, too.

This church is also affiliated with an hispanic church and a deaf church, both of whom meet on site. I don't know of the other churches in the area who do this, so I have not a clue about what they do or how they might be gauged in comparison to the other offerings in this area.
