I had an appointment with them for 8:00AM on January 24, 2017 to scrap my mom's car. I met them at my mechanic's house and upon arrival, at 8:04, I see the tow truck is already there. I called the home office (the only number I had) and notified them I'm here and I see their tow truck. I get out of my vehicle ( with my elderly mother, who's car was being scrapped) we stood outside of the vehicle, title in hand, awaiting the tow truck drivers approach and instead he gets out of his vehicle and starts checking the straps on the mini van that is already on the truck bed then without a word returns back to his vehicle. At this point it is now 8:15. We continue to stand outside until he unexpectedly pulls away! There is absolutely no way he did not see us there considering we made eye contact multiple times, yet he didn't say a word to us. I call the home office again, thinking that he is maybe turning his vehicle around to get ready to tow the car (it is not 8:25). The man at the home office says he's going to call him and call me back. He calls me back at 8:38 and notifies me that the tow truck driver said he had been waiting too long and left, which I notified him of what actually happened and he says, "Well, you'll just have to reschedule." I told him I would call another company and hung up. They are extremely incompetent and rude. I had heard bad things about this company before, but that topped the cake. I will never do business with them again (I missed work for them to waste my time) and will continue to notify anyone who needs a tow or would like to scrap their car to NOT do business with this company.

Had a good experience, fast cash and clean facilities

Our company had two of our trucks broken into. The thief made off with over 10, 5-gallon buckets of copper and propress fittings. We notified all metal salvage yards within a 100-mile radius. Of all of those companies Metro Metals was the only one that actually gave us a call back to notify us of suspicious materials brought in fitting the description of our stolen material.They even went the extra mile to send us a picture of the stolen material. It turned out that it was not our material, but we were very appreciative of their cooperation and going the extra step to help us out.

They are a horrible place to go. some one can steal a car and go there with out a title and smash your car legally with out the persons car it actually is. Also they have cops there and wouldn't you think if someone brought in a car they would run the vin and make sure it is the person selling the car guess not.

The "Manager" of the company was busted stealing over $10,000 from the company and wasn't fired. The employee who caught him stealing was fired without notice, 5 months after his first child was born. then he was denied unemployment. They work with Disable American Veterans, Make a Wish, and other charities, so if you like your meaningful causes, with a side of corruption, this is the place for you. It's a Good Win for anyone interested in recycling. But in all honesty they treat customers very well with free ice cream and soda.

That it's cool if u want ur car stolen and brought there no questions asked and puff its gone never to be found unless you do your own searching of the vehicle spend a whole day callin around looking for vehicle than you get ahold of them and they say that they can not say wether it's there r not and i ask why she replys legal issues and that have to come down there with police report and be escorted by police officer so I am thinking it is there and that's why the rude very rude women on the phone said that r is she just as rude to everyone and make every one who loses their car and thinks scappers before it becomes scrap metal just to find out its not there I will let you know later
