Historic Grand Avenue Apartments

I recently rented from this company and was displeased with most aspects of their service.



Their apartments are overpriced. While they do not seem to be significantly more expensive than other properties in the same area, the fees charged for pets, parking spaces, laundry, etc, are exorbitant.



The service is also unsatisfactory. They generally take an unacceptable amount of time to respond to problems, even problems that are quite urgent. The office is difficult to contact, and even during the stated business hours it can be hard to come pay rent. The staff is not very knowledgeable.



Finally, in my experience the company tried to get as much money as possible out of renters. They claimed I had not paid rent even after they deposited my check, for instance. They also charge very high "cleaning fees," and exaggerate the costs of repairs to keep more of a security deposit.
