General Info: IBEW, also known as International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, is a union devoted to electrical workers. It represents approximately 750,000 members who work in a variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and the government. The union has members in the United States and Canada. IBEW offers various products, such as alarms, detection devices, batteries, computers, construction materials and tools, controls, electrical components, electronics, generators, motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and metal enclosures and cabinets. It provides several appliances and household products, including furniture, refrigerators, humidifiers and microwave ovens. The union s audio and video products include CDs, projection equipment, intercom paging systems, magnetic tapes and automotive speakers. Additionally, IBEW offers electric razor, armature, alarm, neon sign and transformer repair services.
