St. Helens Auto Center, Inc.

Let me begin with, when I went to buy my wife's new car I tried to buy it from Saint Helens Auto Center and they could not get me the one I wanted and the salesman was kind of pushy . So I went down to Landmark Ford in Tigard and couldn't have been happier with the experience. However I live in Scappoose and strongly advocate the support of local business so wanted to give these guys another chance when I went to buy a replacement for my farm truck.



I bought a 2000 Ford F350 from them last month and during the test drive there were several problems identified; AC, Cruise Control ( and since I was trading in a truck which had a brand new $700 brake controller and 7 pin harness) and I wanted the functionality of the brake controller and wiring harness verified in this truck. Greg , my sales guy, seemed earnest enough and agreed to have them checked out and fixed.



What next ensued was a battle between their service department trying to do the right thing and the sales manager trying to save his profit margin. Long story short, as a result a lot of my time was wasted, my AC was fixed but my cruise control still does not function and my brake controller and wiring harness were clearly never checked.

3 days in to fix 2 recalls and reboot my computer. Took it back to another auto repair shop where I had originally took my car. They went to pull back in there shop and check engine light and alternator light on and temp gage not working. He was driving it back to at Helens auto center and it over heated. Now at 5:30 I at 5:30 I out they broke my radiator. They said it would be done by 2. Note I have a newer Dodge Challenger, whuch I love.Not my first bad experience with them. I had a window if a new ford winstar that had a mind of its own. Took 13 trips for them to finally find that it was in wiring.
