Tui Na is a system of medical massage and bodywork that developed in conjunction with acupuncture to alleviate pain and dysfunction. While considered a bit more “aggressive” and forceful than some other systems of massage, Tui Na is uniquely effective in treating pain and injury. Techniques range from basic massage to advanced skeletal manipulation similar to Western Chiropractic. Tui Na is often used in China as part of physical rehabilitation from injury as well as recovery from severe conditions like strokes and traumatic paralysis.
