Jet Ski Rentals - Turbo Water Sports LLC

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!! I rented a jet ski for an hour from Turbo Water Sports in July, 2013 and they never returned to me my $500 deposit!!

The guy who I spoke with over the phone seemed kind and met me at the loading dock in St. Clair Shores where I rented the jet ski. I paid $99 for the hour rental plus a $500 deposit for the jet ski in case it was damaged. We had a good time out on the water and I returned the jet ski in the same condition I received it. He said he would take it out to make sure it still hit the top speed of 55 MPH and I would receive my deposit back. In fact, I called before I returned home to find out if he could still hit his top speed and he said "Yes... we'll return the deposit to you in less than a week." Well, they didn't....

By the following Friday (a full week later), I called to find out why the deposit hadn't reached my account. When he picked up, he told me that 'They tried some new software and had some issues delivering deposits back to their customers. But they would return in within another week...' Why didn't they bother to call me to tell me this? I'm not sure.

Well, another week rolls by and the $500 deposit still hadn't returned to my account. So, I picked up the phone and called them again that Friday (two full weeks later). They didn't pick up. I was pretty frustrated and upset, but I calmly left a voice mail asking about my deposit because now I'm wondering if they do this to other people or if they're still having 'issues', thinking either way that it's better to hear them out. Well, they didn't return my call. Again.

So on Monday, I called them and left them a voice mail stating that I hadn't received my deposit and that someone needed to call me that day to tell me what is going on. They never called....

I called my bank (Chase) to let them know that Turbo Water Sports took $619.94 from my account and, after over two weeks, they still hadn't returned my deposit back. Chase took it from there. They credited $500 to my account for the amount Turbo Water Sports was supposed to return a while ago.

Unfortunately, Turbo Water Sports STILL hasn't returned my phone call. I strongly urge you NOT to use these guys. Even if they were still having 'software issues' they could've returned my phone calls. I'm not sure how many other people that this has happened to, but I won't let it happen to me again.

Great company to do business with, very friendly and respectful. Equipment worked perfectly. Cost is reasonable. Had a great time, will definitely be doing business with them again!!
