i bought a radio and a antena from here the radio had a meter issue. I had to make 2 trips to the store because it was not open during posted busness hours. when i got the radio back (2 months later) i had some questions he blew me off like i was important because i was not buying anything that day. I do not remomend and would say avoid at all cost. My issues with St Charles CB shop is not Getting a damanged Radio, that will happen from time to time. It was the lack of coustomer service that i receved and the way the owner handeled himself i can not trust him. in hindsight i wish i read the online reviews online befor i went into the store. my recomedation is if you need a radio Go to a TA or Flying J.

This place is AWESOME!! We have bought items here several times. Prices are reasonable, and he stocks many hard-to-find antennae and radios. Also does business with an excellent repairman who can fix radios, VCRs, tube radios, anything! Our only regret is that we don't live closer! Although it's probably better for our wallet that we don't--or else we'd be in there buying stuff all the time!

I went to Saint Charles CB Radio to purchase a few antennas for my police scanner. I purchased a roof mount antenna and a car lid mount antenna. It only me took me 45 to a hour to assemble the antenna, but it was defective. So i rigged it with super glue and gorilla table and a few others. The reception was increased greatly but the wiring it comes with is RG-18u which is a cheap form of coaxial cable which has a lot more signal loss than its bigger brother RG-19u cable i found out. And RG-6 is the ultimate for coaxial cable for scanners. Minimum signal loss. 100 Feet QUAD RG-6 shielded for 19.99 at Home Depot. I replaced the cheaper wire with the best and noticed a increase in reception and quality instantly and the cable is nice and thick, and durable. It ran around cost me $111.00 dollars for a mast antenna and a trunk mounted antenna. I should of know better to do better research. The roof antenna goes for around $54.99 dollars at his shop. I have seen them as low as $25 dollars online for the same exact model. The clip on trunk antenna that i bought from him was also about $54.00 there I found for $20.00 dollars online. $20.00 plus $25.00 same name brand and model and/or closest too. $45.00 plus 14.99 shipping = $59.99
$111.00
- $59.99
= $51.00 Dollars you could of saved if you just did your research.
Customer Service: Was not great at all and the owners attitude and personality came off pretty bad.
Customer Service (Phone): The gentlemen hung up very quick after my answer was answered without even saying a bye or thanks!
Attitude: His Attitude towards me and the way he was talking to another customer told me right away this guy was very unprofessional.
Limited Stock: There wasn't many new nice scanners or antennas because of the higher cost of scanners.
