Anyone going to this facility needs to understand a few things, 1. this is an EMERGENCY care facility, they are pricey, 2.there are payment options for this service, cash, check, credit cards and they offer an on-site financing option 3. as far the comments regarding their heartlessness; in my experience as a 1st Responder, when a person deals with pain and suffering as many hours as this staff does (open 123 hours a week) it will put a person in a mentally protective state. This protective mind set does not mean they are unsympathetic to your emergency. Doctor Grant and her entire staff worked flawlessly together to get our dog in and cared for.

They gave our dog back to go home and die, because we only had half the money, we asked if we could come back in a couple of hours to see about family help, we are Seniors, they are ridiculously priced, our dog was labored breathing, I was quoted by their business Mgr this is a business, with a cold hard stare, no heart, no compassion, my beloved dog died the next day all because of money, our hearts are broken, I have never encountered such inhuman treatment in my life, I will continue to tell my story and next is the news!!!!!!!

I had a very sick kitten who my regular vet could not get in for 2 weeks. I tried another vet I've taken my pets to. Same thing...2 weeks. I took my baby to Great Lakes and had a great experience there. They got me in within the hour. They were compassionate. They explained everything and asked if I wanted them to do bloodwork before they proceeded. The cost for an emergency visit was very reasonable, the same as an emergency appointment with my regular vet. I will recommend them every time and they will be my first call the next time I have a sick or injured pet. I couldn't have asked for more.

Absolutely a WRETCHED place with heartless people working there. All they care about is money. I've never encountered such heartless, soulless people working with animals before. The sight of their name sickens me. I had a horrible experience a few short years ago. I noticed they blocked me on Facebook, because I wrote the truth. Don't be fooled by them. I'm not the only one with a bad experience. There are other bad reviews. Go anywhere else. STEER CLEAR

They run every test possible to determine what they could have done just by clinical symptoms alone and over charge on top of it

If you love your pet you won't take them here! MSU is cheaper and will actually help your pet. I feel horrible for taking my dog there to begin with

This place was TERRIBLE. The worst company by far that I have ever gone too(not just vet, any company every). Insanely expensive and not personable at all. Just a terrible experience. The prices were bad but the people there were disheartening.

Id believe a dozen people anyday over a small few that sticks up for this sad place. How dare anyone label these people who suffered these losses as government suckers & etc.,whats wrong with you? Wheres YOUR compassion? Chances are you only commented to save their skin as a friendly favor. These people lost their fur babies, how SAD and COLD of YOU!!

They only care about money!!!!

I still feel guilty for taking my dog here! My dog was so ill and dying - surgery over 3,000 dollars. My husband was out of town and I tried getting money together- they sat there and watched me cry scrambling while I was getting money together... I asked them to please start the surgery so my dog wouldn't suffer but they refused til I had all the money! My dog died and I was still charged over a thousand dollars. It still sticks in my mind that he died because they didn't start the surgery right away! They were so insensitive and my heart still aches everyday because they didn't help me through anything! They took my money and my dog died and suffered! I truly believe they knew he didn't have a chance but they wanted the money!!!!!!!! They sat there and watched me fall apart and not one word until I had the money!!!!!! I was taken advantage of by these people and I suffer everyday from guilt for taking my dog to these horrible people!!!!

I had a good experience. My dog was treated well (even though she can be a cranky old girl). Staff was friendly and doctor took time to explain things and options. Though, I wish it were like a human hospital where you are told what is going to be done (as apposed of giving me options). But I understand it is different. And looking at the crazy angry negative comments, it all seems to be about the money with those people (which makes me believe they have no money to do things). A little bit more expensive then my vet, but it is an emergency clinic, so not a surprise. I think the angry comments expect free care (which they probably get free government money and expect all things for free).

Sophie (my dog) did well with surgery for a cut on her side. Funny bald spot where surgery was, but the fur grew back fine, though a slightly different color.

As a person who works with Veterans, and is familiar with Healthcare (even with animals) I would tell everyone to RUN from this place. They are awful here. Dr. Grant may make a little money, but she won't prosper, that's my hex on her.

This place only cares about money and it shows. They are insensitive to the fact that you have an animal in dire need of medical attention. They talked to me like it was no big deal that my new puppy had a 50/50 chance of living. They seemed too concerned that I hurry up and make a choice of treating him for thousands of dollars or putting him down. They acted like that was an easy choice to make. They gave me very few details on his chances of making it were, just kept throwing the numbers 50/50 out there. They only treat if you have the money upfront. I don't know how anyone could watch an animal die if they have all of the resources and power to change that.. I would never take another animal here again.. I've dealt with vets that truly care about their patients, and I wish a Vetrinarian office would have been open, so I could have taken him there and maybe he would still be here with me :'(.
