The Crawford County Correctional Facility can accommodate up to 280 inmates and employs over 40 full-time staff members. It coordinates work release and inmate worker programs. The facility offers maximum, medium and minimum custody to offenders with mental illnesses. The Crawford County Correctional Facility incarcerated inmates a chance to work off some of their fines and court costs through the Crawford County Courthouse. It inmates provide laundry, cooking, sweeping, mopping and cleaning services. The Crawford County Correctional Facility also coordinates outside inmate worker programs, which are supervised by the facility maintenance department. Additionally, the facility administers a range of voluntary religious and drug and abuse rehabilitation programs.
