Cycle Tune Co.

So I was worried about just anybody working on my 2004 VTX 1800 outside the dealership. I decided to go with local dealership in Carmichael until I tried to set an appointment. It would be three weeks before they could work on my bike as the entire service staff had been fired. On a whim, I called Ray at Ray's Cycle Repair. Over the phone I could tell this guy was a no nonsence, to-the-point kinda man- just the person to work on my precious baby. Parts were ordered by Ray and my appointment was set. Unfortunately the wrong parts were delivered (no fault by Ray) as the 2005-2009 are differnt by margine, yet mistaken frequently. The right parts were slightly higher, but he made the right call and ordered them before he called me. He also found a problem with my brake reservoir, ordered the part, fixed the problem at a minimum rate. No excuses, just good business. Havn't got my bike back yet, but I know my baby is in good hands, and this guy doesn't miss a lick. As long as he doesn't retire, I'm sure I found a trustworthy mechanic that won't gouge me in labor cost, yet doesn't skimp or cut corners. By the way, Honda dealership quoted me $300 more for labor than Ray. For a 38k service, new back brake rotar, pads, and new back tire, the cost was still under $1,100. If all goes well with my service, which I'm sure it will, I'll be bringing her back for some custom work. ;)
