Area 4 Agency on Aging provides a wide range of services to seniors and adults with disabilities in the community and serves as the focal point for local aging concerns. The agency s programs include the senior employment program, retired senior volunteer program and InfoVan. InfoVan is a mobile senior resource center. Area 4 performs two major activities on a four-year cycle. It provides a comprehensive needs assessment for seniors in seven county-areas followed by the development of a needs plan. The agency has an A4AA helpline, health insurance counseling, drop-in respite for home caregivers, a para transit subsidy program, help with minor home modifications, caregiver services, brown-bag nutrition program, medication management, legal and paralegal services, caregiver-grandparent legal services, mental health services and disease prevention programs. The agency is headquartered in Sacramento Calif.
