Roslyn Eye Centre

Before stepping foot into Roslyn Eye Centre, I used my insurance to purchase a pair of sunglasses at Pearle Vision. Boy, was that a mistake. Pearle had taken me for a ride and charged around $150 for a pair of polarized sunglasses with insurance!! The first thing I noticed was markings in each of the lenses and being they were polarized every time the sun would strike that particular location I would get a reflection and that completely defeats the purpose of getting polarized glasses in the first place.



Being I live in the area, I decided to walk into Roslyn Eye Centre and get a second opinion and I was extremely glad I did. It was nice to walk into an eye centre and actually be greeted as soon as you walk in. The lady who had been busy with something else actually stopped to help me. After inspecting my sunglasses she informed me that the lens had looked a bit warped. She advised me to take them back and have Pearle Vision make up a new pair. (notice I did not say she advised me to take them back and get a refund) she was very helpful and pleasant so I walked out, did some shopping and came back and spoke to a guy named Rich.



He was extremely friendly and helpful. He knew exactly what he was talking about as he answered questions that even Pearle Vision did not know the answer too. After speaking to Rich, I immediately took my sunglasses back to Pearle and got a full refund. That following Monday, I went back to the Roslyn Eye Centre and Rich helped me and I ended up picking the exact same model frame as I did with Pearle Vision and got a pair of polarized lenses . I paid a fraction of the cost that Pearle Charged me. With Pearle I paid around $150 and with Roslyn Eye Centre I paid exactly $25 for the SAME glasses and yet the lenses do not have the markings that the lenses that I received from Pearle. He explained to me that when you use insurance this is what you should be paying. He was shocked when I told him how much Pearle charged me. All I can say is WOW I still cannot get over how honest this place was and how friendly and helpful everyone was and how well they treated me. I should have known as soon as I walked through that door and saw the place literally packed that explains it all. Anyone who is in need of any eye ware I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The worst optical experience you could possibly imagine. Not only did he not make my glasses correctly, but he was abusive and thought he was god reincarnate. Also his prices are unbelievably expensive, do yourself a favor go elsewhere.
