Premier Remodeling and Handyman

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Do not let Dave Foss, the owner of this company, set foot in your home! He also does business under the name of Premier Home Remodeling. In 2005 he filed Bankruptcy (05-55318) for a company he owned and operated called Eagle Drilling. He may be in the process of changing the name of his company to Eagle. He also owns a company called Cloud Vision Technologies which purports to provide security for corporate computer data. Hired to do a total gut and remodel of the first floor of my house. Started the middle of January and supposed to finish by the end of February. Once the demolition was completed he kept demanding more and more money. Work ground to a virtual halt after he got his money. When we hired him, we demanded that building permits be pulled. We allowed him to begin demolition after he assured us that he had pulled the proper building permits. In March a building inspector paid an unannounced visit. Foss had not been returning his calls or scheduling inspections. Turns out Dave Foss had lied to the Village about the scope of work and had only paid $30 for a permit to remove and replace 450 feet of drywall. Meanwhile, the entire first floor of my house has been gutted. It was such a big project that I had to order 2 of the biggest dumpsters you can get. Down to studs. Work halted for a month for permits to be straightened out. Once work began again Dave Foss is bringing one or 2 workers a day with 2 or 3 sheets of drywall and working a few hours a day. The drywall installation required a crew of 5 or 6 workers due to the vaulted ceilings. Finally, on April 27, after more ridiculous excuses about why only one worker coming for a few hours a day, I fired Foss and sent a letter to him and the guy from Eagle that signed us up in January threatening to sue them personally for fraud. The guy that signed us up came over and told us he's no longer partners with Foss, but to avoid being sued offered to take over and finish the project. By now we had paid Foss the full contract price and then some. His ex partner informed us that Dave Foss could not finish the job because he is broke. All of the money we had paid him was gone. Project was finally finished on July 1, 2015. That's about 4 months after it was supposed to be finished. On June 20, the subcontractor hired by Dave Foss to install 2 new windows knocks on my door demanding his money. Dave Foss never paid him and Foss is not answering his phone calls, texts and emails. We paid Dave Foss for the windows. The contract called for 2 double hung windows. Foss never told the sub what the contract called for. Instead, Foss tells him to buy the cheapest windows he can find and install them. The windows are single hung. When I pointed this out to Foss he did not know the difference between a single hung window and a double hung window. I emailed Foss a Wikipedia link to educate him on the difference between a single and a double hung window. I am trying to get my money back to pay the subcontractor because he is threatening to put a lien on my house and sue me for his money. Know of at least one more subcontractor who did work for Dave Foss on another project that was not paid and is chasing him for his money.My family went through a horrible ordeal at the hands of Dave Foss and his "company." For almost 6 months we had no kitchen. We were forced to live in our basement with a microwave oven and a small sink in our basement bathroom. We went through almost an entire winter with the first floor of our house totally gutted, exposed to the snow and cold of the bitter winter. It was one of the worst experiences of our lives. I am posting this review as a warning to anyone and everyone. If you do business with Dave Foss and Eagle or Premier or any other business operated by Dave Foss, prepare to be victimized.

I registered for yp just so that I could add my review of my experience with Premier modeling starting in October 2014. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. I had the same experiences that Margie B. and J.M. had.



The painting they did for us was fine. I should have dismissed them after that.



I wanted to get my living room and hallway hard wood floors refinished. They did a nice job stripping the existing wood but then sent 2 young kids out to stain and put the finish. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was TERRIBLE. The stain didn't take but they put 2 coats of it on and then put the clear finish. The story is too long to write here. I was charged for this fiasco and then I had to purchase laminate and pay extra to have them install laminate. This extra work was 'charged' on the side as cash. Hmm, shady practices. I spent a ton of money and the project was never completed. I wish I knew what other customer was suing them because I would like it to be a class action suit.



Please do not pursue doing business with this company. Obviously my experience with them was not an exception case.

I hired them to install laminate flooring, they stated a 1 year guarantee and Dave Foss came out in February and stated he needed additional tools and would be back and has not acknowledged my emails or calls, since They do not stand behind their work and they do subpar work to begin with. I have a huge gap in several areas and now I have to hire someone else to fix what they did not do correct in the first place.

Met with David Foss and Matt Stone to go over some remodel work for a house I had just purchased. They seemed very skilled in their demeanor....( Seemed.... )



They did extremely sub-par work for the money they charged. The project took twice as long to complete. ( It was mentioned by David that they were having legal action taken against them by another owner which is why they were taking soooo long on my property as they were trying to cover their mistakes. ) It was too late for me to run ( THIS IS YOUR WARNING!! ) as I had already paid him half the balance upfront, which they require. We also knew why it was taking soo long, as our family friend who we contracted to paint, kept telling us they ( Premier ) would come over for like 15 minutes and then not show up again for 2 - 3 days.



Forget about having them answer your calls, voicemails, texts, & e-mails....They just do NOT get back to you ever. Nice!!!



Then the best for last.....In the proposal and in effect for what I was charged...there was money alloted for garbage disposal. Well...l because they never bought over a dumpster the whole time and I never told them to bring one....( like I was supposed to know this ) they just assumed and told me they were not responsible for it. WoW!!!!



I made a huge stink about it and was assured ( very reluctantly by David as it was going to cost him $300 to take care of it....but no it wasn't David!! I already paid you to do it! ) that he would come over to get it.....Well guess what??? He never came.



So not only do they charge alot...they are flat out LIARS!!!!



Horrible experience!!!!
