I have been going to TAPPS for about 10 Years, they always do a good job and have always been honest and fair with me. They are always WAY cheaper then the Dealer, fast and professional. The Mechanic Ronnie is Super smart and a perfectionist at his trade. For those looking for a more personal experience and have needs for classic or modified cars this is a great shop. I have taken everything from modified 500HP VW's to my daily driver there and they never fail to impress. They recently fixed my Dodge Durango and worked with me on my limited budget and kept me up to date way above and beyond and shop I have ever dealt with. I will go there for life. Bottom line, I have brought them many broken cars and they always run perfect when I leave.~John Wetzel

Overall

I wish I could give this place no stars. This so called business owner Damien is a liar and a cheat. We had our car towed to him on 5/19/2015 due to overheating and cutting off. He had his receptionist call on 5/20 to list the repairs: valve cover/gasket, tune up, and oil change. For a price of 434 dollars. When asked again about the overheating Damien said he would get back with us on that later that day. We had to call him back the next day he then stated the AC fan needed repair the total would now be 520. We picked the car up on 5/26/15, he told my sister that the valve cover he originally ordered was the wrong size but the new one would be in on the next day, she could either take the car and come back or leave it. She opted to take it. 10 mins later she brough it back for leaking coolant, he looked at it and brushed it off. Stated that he had not driven it so now the coolant was moving through. That following morning the car overheatead again and was pouring coolant. We had to get it towed back to him. The reciept he gave I called the dealer and got quotes on the prices of parts he overcharged her on several parts and bough one part used without communicating to my sister. I went to the shop and asked him to explain the pricing he charged her on parts, and asked why all those other minor issues were fixed and not the problem causing the overheating, which he said was the thermostat. He got loud, rude, told me I think I know everything, not to come back to the shop, he threatened to call the police. His girlfriend who was very sweet came to diffuse the situtation and offered to pay the cost of the thermostat. He has horrible customer service and a nasty disposition. He argued with a customer who shelled out 520 in fees and 145 in towing expenses, and whose car broke down in less than 24 hours with the same issues. He is a disgrace, do not ever take your car here. He lies, he cheats, and steals.

GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

I'd give this business no stars at all if possible!!! The only positive thing I can say is the mechanic Ronnie does seem to know what he's doing. But unfortunately, he doesn't control the work progress. My boyfriend and I have had experience with Tapp's for 2yrs now. The first year (2013) we only visited once with some reasonably simple repairs on our classic vehicle. We gave them one month to make the repairs before a big car show we were entered in. My boyfriend had to sit in the shop half the day on the day we were supposed to leave just to ensure they were working on the parts they had claimed were on and finished but clearly were not. We ended going a day late because they didnt even start the work until a week and a half before the show.

This year (2014) my car had needed an oil change and we were strapped for time. We decided to go to Tapp's mostly for the convenience of location to our house. The work was done in a day and we were happy with it... Until my car started to leak oil two months later. We took it to family friend's shop for their opinion and they saw right away the oil filter was filthy and there was no oil left in the car... My car is a new car and no way could be that dirty in that short amount of time. The mechanic said he seriously doubted they ever even changed the filter and nearly caused my engine to seize from having no oil at all.

Before we realized what had happened with my car, we decided to take our classic vehicle back to Tapp's. This time we gave them TWO months and AGAIN they didn't begin the work until 3 weeks before the show. They called a week before the show and said it was all done. My boyfriend went to get it and checked it out. And of course, there were parts missing and work undone again! Tapp's THEN realized they order the wrong part that they also forgot to put on. WE had to pay through the nose for overnight delivery. We didn't get our vehicle back till 2 days before the show and that's after my boyfriend once again went there and sat to ensure the work got done!

I VERY STRONGLY advise everyone to NOT take your vehicle to Tapp's auto!!!! They definitely are not as reasonably price as they claim and the headaches you'll get from the OWNER'S attitude for just enquiring about your vehicle IS JUST NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! Seriously save your car the possible damage and go elsewhere!!!!

Trust me, we learned our lesson and will NEVER be going to Tapp's again!!!!
