This is, by far, the WORST Wegmans I have shopped at. For one, the prepared foods section almost always has food in the cooler that is at or past date, yet still for sale. Always check the dates when you shop here. Secondly, they go MONTHS without restocking certain items, in particular the section where the vitamins are. Why leave empty shelf space if you're not going to keep an item in-stock? This is just another Wegmans mega-store that is bigger than it needs to be. At the Britton Road Wegmans (probably my favorite Wegmans, which is, sadly, no longer), I never had these problems, and it actually seemed that they carried more items than the new store, and everything was so much easier to find.



If you're in Greece, stick to the Latta Road and Ridgemont stores if you can.

I LOVE Wegmans but absolutely HATE the Mt. Read Store. I shop for my family and an elderly aunt as well as working a 50 hour week and I am spending much too much time going back and forth trying to find things. I have been jammed in the ankles and back by many shopping carts, The cross aisles are not wide enough to safely navigate a cart. Lighting in the produce department is too dark and the noise level in that store is almost painful. It's hard to even talk to the cashiers without shouting. Parking is a nightmare. But the most annoying thing is Britton Rd. NEVER had empty shelves and I am finding it common at Mt. Read.

My neighbors don't shop at Wegmans anymore because they have a problem walking around the larger store and find it too crowded and narrow to easily maneuver the electric carts.

It's also not easy to just run in and get a few things so I have been finding myself going to Tops more and more. It's brighter, quieter and aisles seem wider.

I promised myself that I would give it 3 months and it gets worse with each visit. If

Britton Rd had stayed open, I am willing to bet you would have lost less business to Walmart than you are going to lose now. People who don't like the big stores won't like Walmart but with Tops and Aldis near the Mt. Read store, there are other immediate options.

I can't believe that after all the years I have traveled and raved to others about Wegmans I am now in this position. I am so disappointed that Wegmans would close a store that was so convenient for so many of the 'old timers' in the neighborhood.

Wegmans has a superior reputation as being a quality customer service minded organization but in the closing of Britton Rd, I think they ignored the customer service aspect.
