General Info: Aikido Kokikai of Rochester (AKR) is a martial arts dojo (school) dedicated to the teachings of Sensei Shuji Maruyama of Nagoya, Japan. We have served the Rochester community for over 30 years and have many experienced instructors who are always happy to see new faces. AKR is an entirely volunteer run entity and our low monthly dues reflect that fact. We're here because we love Kokikai Ryu Aikido and its beautiful simplicity and power. Come try a class for free. Location: Conveniently located on the 2nd floor the old post office building just off the inner loop in downtown Rochester. We have a spacious dojo with over 1400 sq. ft of mat space.

Amenities: Over 1400sq ft of training area; Open with tons of natural light and natural ventilation, 30ft high ceilings provide ample freedom to practice weapons.
