I am an avid buyer,seller, and collector of coins and currency of all type. I am always getting referred to other dealers and collectors to check out what they have and what they need as well as what they are willing to pay for coins and how much they will negotiate the prices of their coins. Of more signifigant importance is the attitude of the dealer and his /her attention to customer service. The sharing of passion for the hobbie and knowledge of the industry is key to developing a long term business relationship.

I went in to sell some coins and see if there was anything in the shop that was on my want list, as well as to inquire on bidding. The dealer was fair in his assesment of the current value of my coins, so I sold some and held on to ones that I could sell for more-this is about how it always works. The problem is when he payed me, he through the money down on the display case and pushed the receipt towards me. This is not a way to welcome in a customer. Buying precious metals and coins is only one facet of the business, shops will need actual coin-buying customers who have extensive "want-list" that need to be filled when the spot market subsides.

I enjoy traveling to coin dealers, I have about 16 shops that I frequently do business with and a whole bunch of other shops that I will not bother with. Life is to short and the economy is to poor to waste time with a dealer who treats you less than you expect. This was a complete waste of my time, and this shop goes on the "don't bother" list.

Never underestimate the weight of the first impression.

I have been a customer for over 10 years, I invest about $12,000. per year at this store and have the best service and prices desire by any collector, Creig is an excellent friend. and the personnel inluding Caroline is the best you can find in town.

I enjoy shopping at Riverside Coin Shop. Craig and the staff are fair and knowledgeable. I have visited the shop each week for the last six years and appreciate the honesty and friendship of everyone here. Caroline has gone out of her way to hold items that I am looking to buy. You won't get a slick sale pitch, but will be treated fairly by real people. The weekly auction is fun. Thumbs up for Riverside Coin Shop.

I stopped in while visiting. I prefer to look at coins in person, given the large number of counterfeit coins from China. The store had one of the large cents I was looking for - a 1798 penny. A nice coin at a fair price. The collection of items is rather eclectic there so enjoyed just looking around.

This is a great place. employees are very friendly and now all their information. Prices are very reasonable. Have been a customer since 1999 when the state quarters started coming out.

I have known Craig (the owner) since High School and have done thousands of dollars of transactions in his store. Not only has he been more than fair in our many business dealings,,,but he spends the time to bring our relationship up to current and ask about my own collections.. He is one of those owners who remembers what he has sold me and will show me new items that he knows interest me. He has been honest with me as long as I have known him, and I would recommend his store to anyone looking for coins and collectables...

I've been here 3 times in the past 6 months and I've been very pleased with the prices and the service; especially compared to other coin shops in the area. The owner Craig is very knowledgeable and each time we've spent at least 30 minutes talking about coins and collectables. Whenever I go into the store he teaches me something new and shares something of interest he has recently acquired. The other staff are helpful too and always took their time to help me out or point me in the right direction. I've never experienced anything mentioned in the negative reviews on this page and I look forward to doing more business in the future.

The customer service is terrible. I was wanting to by silver rounds and was shooed out of the store because it was close to closing. I was ready to spend thousands of dollars but was told to come back. When I returned the price of silver had gone up. I very politely asked for a discount because they could not serve me before. A simple, "No, sorry I cant do that", would have been fine. Instead the salesperson walked away from me and began talking to me from across the room as he was throwing away little pieces of paper and putting things in a cabinet. He also got very obstinate saying, "Well, closing time is closing time". I really would not have continued this conversation if he had not gotten rude. So I mentioned how other stores stay open a little longer for customers already in the store. "Well, I dont make the rules, closing time is closing time". He never looked me in the eye, never asked me my name, and like I said he was more interested in throwing away little scraps of paper. I get treated better spending $20 at Kmart. Maybe the owner makes so much money he can afford sales reps who are discourtious to customers. I drove about ten miles to another store that matched the price over spot for silver rounds. And by the way, they actually sayed open late because I called and told them I was coming. Instead of spending $2000, I spent $4500. I will never go to this place again and will talk negatively about them every chance I get.

The owner of this coin/stamp store is reliable, very fair, nice and trustworthy. Always a fair price on buying and selling anything. Will tell you the truth about the value of your items and maybe some people don't like this; but he is doing business and often the store is very busy. He has many repeat and steady clients. I think this attests to his trustworthy and fair business practices. As well, his employees are very helpful, courteous and knowledgable. I go there almost every week looking for jewelry or gold coins. I know I'll get a fair deal on buying or selling. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
