Bauman's Ace Hardware

I give this an overall 5-star, but not because of the treatment I received in the store today. I've been a regular customer since the late 60s, I knew the Bauman family and taught the granddaughter in high school. I've always been happy with the service with help always available. Today I returned with a low-cost piece of velcro tape which was defective. I had paid only $2.16 for it yesterday. I asked the manager for help and he refused to exchange it for a good piece of tape without paying for it. He was very belligerent and discourteous to say the least. If the two young ladies at the counter had not intervened I would have had to pay full price for another velcro tape. As is they only charged me another $1. They were very nice and one apologized in a low voice as I left. This situation upset me, not because of the cost of the item (obviously), but just because I expect to be treated honestly.

I'm so glad I found this store. I LOVE it. No need for me to go to Home Depot anymore. The prices can't be beat. The customer service is top notch. When I go I get help from Abraham who is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I could spend the day in their shopping (and I hate shopping) they have a very diverse choice of stock. Interesting sometimes lol. I saved them in my contact list because I am directionally challenged and can't find my way.

I could always use a new set of cooking wear. They have it in here and some with amazing discounts tagged on them, the people in here are so helpful too.
