Dr. Richard A. Norden, MD, FACS, is a board certified ophthalmologist and a leading LASIK eye surgeon in Northern New Jersey. After training in corneal and refractive surgery at the renowned New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, Dr. Norden opened his private practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 1986. He is known as the first LASIK eye surgeon in New Jersey to perform Custom LASIK for enhanced precision and surgical accuracy. Dr. Norden has had his work published in numerous trade journals and publications, including Ocular Surgery News and the Journal of Refractive Surgery, and has appeared in 201 Magazine, Bergen Health and Life and the New York Times. Dr. Norden has been recognized as one of the top LASIK eye surgeons in the country. He is listed in the Castle Connolly Guide: "How to Find the Best Doctors in the New York Metro Area." Dr. Norden is one of the busiest ophthalmologists and LASIK surgeons in Bergen County. In addition to performing more corneal and LASIK procedures than any other ophthalmologist in the area, Dr. Norden also teaches LASIK to the next generation of eye surgeons.
