My fence was specifically built as a dog fence; we specified on the contract that the fence will follow the ground line to make sure the dog could not get out. There is a gap along on two fence lines at the ground level that completely allows my dog to go out. And if the dog doesn't get out there, the gates do not latch and come open all the time. Less than 3 months after the install, one of the gates has warped noticeably. Additionally, the fence that we specified in our contract is mapped out person is not the fence I got. My contract has right angled corners but the fencing is nailed to the corner post with over an inch of space between the post and the board causing an open angle. This allows moisture to build and rot the fence very quickly. It also means that the new fence into existing fencing very strangely. My fence measurement does not measure to the same length I was charged for. They cut short one fence line and then tied into another fence at about a 60 degree angle.

I purchased a Home in downtown Richmond, VA in January of 2016 with a 6ft wooden privacy fence. Then on March 24th we had the high winds and tornados come through the area and most of my fence became collapsed or the nails began to pull out.
