This is Tree Tech, owner Ronnie Parker. We reserved a 252 Vermeer stump grinder the weekend of July 4th. When we went to pick up the machine they had another Vermeer on tracks ready. We questioned why we did not get the machine we ordered and got a bunch of small talk and the man assured us that this machine was just as good and would do the job. IT DIDNT! We spent all weekend trying to use this other stump grinder. It wouldn't grind a stump on a hill, it wouldn't even grind small honeysuckle roots! It would not grind below ground level. After wearing ourselves out, We returned the machine with our major complaint AND pictures to prove it didn't work. We asked if they could let us have the original machine we ordered at no charge or have our money refunded. They said they would only give us a $45 credit because we didn't call them within an hour of renting to let them know. THEY WERE CLOSED! It was the 4th of July! We couldn't call. Besides that there is no way to pick up a machine, get it to the job, set up and run the machine within an hour to see if it works! Impossible! To make things worse we have now LOST money on our job because we had to rent ANOTHER stump grinder, the 252 we wanted and had to rent it through them to try and save any money we could because all they gave us was a $45 credit! We are disgusted with their business practices and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. We will also be posting how horrible they are on Facebook and anywhere else we can. We will tell every other Tree and Landscape people we know never to rent anything from By Pass Rental! In over 20yrs of business I have NEVER been treated this way by a rental service! By Pass should be ashamed. Shame on you By Pass Rental! Bad business!
