Eco-Friendly Bed and Breakfast Accommodations: We practice sustainable living values while hosting private guests, family gatherings, corporate retreats or special events. Amenities include wireless internet and on-site parking. Conveniently located near the intersection of I-70 and US 27 North, Exit 151 in East Central Indiana, our establishment is near the campus areas of Indiana University East, Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue University (Richmond), Earlham College, Earlham School of Religion, Bethany Theological Seminary and Reid Hospital. We are a Bed & Breakfast establishment. Reservations include a continental style breakfast of homemade breads, jams, yogurts, proteins and fresh fruits. Guests may request a hearty country breakfast served family style for an additional charge. A refrigerator and microwave are available - located in the common kitchen area. The common kitchen may also be utilized for meal preparation as part of a large group (10 or more) reservation. Contact proprietor for details. Our accommodations include one guest room on the first floor with a private full size bathroom/walk-in shower and other extra amenities. Each two upstairs guest rooms share a full size bathroom (shower) accommodation. We have common kitchen, dining room and living room areas available to guests. Host lives on-site. At Seldom Scene Meadow we practice sustainable living values near the headwaters of the Whitewater River. I grew up on a farm and learned sustainable living skills at an early age, subsequently honed those skills through engagement as a professional scientist at the University. Enjoy cooking and baking with locally grown proteins, fresh fruits and produce. In addition to serving locally grown foods, our property is supported by solar electric and passive solar hot water systems. Each bedroom area is appointed with restored and/or locally crafted furnishings, original art, hardwood floors and natural fiber rugs.
