The Bike Shop

I had my bike tuned-up & bought a bike rack for my car from The Bike Shop in Richardson, TX.. Great job with the tune-up & very friendly staff. Tony showed me how to put the rack on my car by installing it. A helpful guy he is!



Unfortunately, when I had my car detailed some weeks later I found abrasions/scratches on my trunk where the legs of the rack sat. After much communication with the Bike Shop, They are unwilling to take responsibility for the damage to my trunk, (over $700.00 worth).



I have an email from Saris, the rack manufacturer, stating that it was installed incorrectly. I got an estimate for the repair & took it to Tony....The owner, whose name I know not, & who has not reached out to me in the 2 months this has been going on, apparently, will not take responsibility in any way.



I find their passing the buck again & again to Saris very egregious. I am not a litigious person but, I feel I have done all I can do on my own at this point . So disappointing.

I don't own a bike, but should I ever purchase one, it will definitely be from The Bike Shop! It's great to see this shop is still in business. I had an experience with them in the mid '90's. My car stopped in the front of this shop,,,on the street one evening. The weather was very,very cold and it had begun to sleet heavily... I had my stepson, who was 4 years old, with me. It was closing time for The Bike Shop. The young man ( and several customers) who was working there, helped push my car off the street into the parking lot. The owner of the shop allowed us to stay inside until the tow truck arrived, even though the shop was closed. Given the weather condition, it was quite some time before the tow truck arrived. He could have gone home and left my stepson and me, to wait in the cold outside! He went much, much farther than an extra mile ! ! ! The caring, kindness and compassion shown towards us, will never be forgotten. The exceptional customer service for this business extends far beyond the entrance !

Just calling they went the extra mile to accomodate! Great customer service!

Bike repairs are fast and simple! I can get my bike done at this shop in 3-4 days! I have been to other shops and it took several weeks! The service is always great, and the bikes look and ride like new! This shop has been here a long time; they know what they are doing, and I will continue to return with my business!
