Pet Country

I have given this business many chances as I try to patronize locally owned businesses whenever I can, but the husband and wife owners are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered, and I will not go back. They are not knowledgeable about the products they sell and are not able or willing to answer any questions you might have. Their prices are high, and they do not accept returns! I have seen them argue with customers who are trying to return stuff.They do not have pets themselves which makes me think they are in this purely as a business proposition to make money. And they never, ever answer their phone! There's nothing to recommend them especially since there are other locally owned pet food businesses with better prices and customer service not too far away I scratch my head wondering how people like this stay in business. I will never go back.

So many selections for every pet and a friendly staff

Recently we shopped at Pet Country and were personally helped by the owner. He sold us several hundred dollars worth of items for our new puppy, including a $35 leash that broke in one use. When we attempted to return the item he was horribly rude and refused to even discuss the issue. The store is large and well stocked with pricey items that can be found at significantly lower prices elsewhere. However, I wasn't even concerned at first about the prices - I wanted to support a local store and buy premium items. Well, never again! We had also shopped at Petsmart for some items that needed to be returned. We had lost the receipt for some of those items and were apologetically told that they could only give us store credit for those items! What a different experience! This is one case where I will trust the big box store and stay away from these nasty people who actually took pictures of our car and insulted and threatened us as we left.
