Emergency Care
Emergency Service: Emergency telephone consultation services are available on a 24 hour basis only for active patients of RPC. During office hours, please inform the receptionist of the situation. After hours and weekends, a voice mail service is available. Each therapist remains on call for his or her own clients, but backup coverage is provided by other staff members. Please call the office number and follow the voice mail instructions for an emergency and the the therapist on call should reach you as soon as possible. In case of life threatening emergencies, first contact an ambulance service or police department to arrange transfer to a hospital emergency room or mental health center, then call our office.

Madeline has been at RPC since 1995. She has also worked as a Family Therapist in the Alexandria District Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Service Unit and at a community mental health center in NY. At RPC, she works with children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. Arnold Small received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island with a specialty in child-clinical psychology. Dr. Small was on the faculty at George Mason University where he taught and published in the areas of psychological assessment, eating disorders and children’s emotional and behavioral disorders. He also specializes in evaluations and treatment for Bariatric Surgery patients.
