The Point Karaoke And Live Entertainment Night Club

You don't want to go here. The drinks are strong, yes, but they are also extremely expensive. The DJ is a lot of fun and entertaining. HOWEVER, a friend of mine and I entered a contest there. We had to pay $10 for the privilege of singing in this contest. There were only SIX singers, until a 7th signed up just before the next to last singer went on. This thing was rigged. The people who won weren't even surprised at winning. They just accepted it without any excitement at all. I know of two guys who entered a week earlier who do OK but who can't sing very good and THEY won! My friend and I never even got a consideration. There were supposed to be 3 winners. The people picked were two women, 1 man. The man couldn't sing a lick, but all the women got up and danced when he sang. He was also a Point local, as were all the other "contestants" who "won". They chose a fourth because they wanted her to "show them more" like they do in American Idol sometimes, I guess. All I know, the whole thing was a farce and a great way for the management at the Point to take you for $10. If you don't mind being snubbed by the locals, paying high, exhorbitant prices for drinks, and rigged contests, this is the place for you. As for me, I will take my business elsewhere. And so will my friend. We were insulted and belittled and have never been treated this badly in our lives. 'Nough said.

I love the atmosphere here, Drinks a re strong and not to pricey karaoke starts at 7 and an older group is there but by 9 or 10 they leave and the 20's and 30's somethings take over!!! Dance floor, stage for the singers and there werent any booers! The guy that does the karaoke is well known for his michael jackson impressions! Love this place!!!!!
