Central Electric Cooperative provides electric service to Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, Grant, Linn, Wasco and Lake counties in Oregon. It is a nonprofit consumer-owned corporation and was founded in 1940. It offers products to protect home appliances, such as computer data and expensive electronic equipment from destructive power surges. It offers various programs, such as weatherization, heat pump, solar and electric water heater and Energy Star appliance programs. Its weatherization program helps to improve the efficiency of electrically heated homes and control heating costs. It provides products for residential, commercial and industrial. Additionally, it provides energy saving tips to residents. Central Electric Cooperative also offers new and efficiency irrigation pumps motors and located in Redmond, Ore.
