The animals looked sick and unhealthy. Reptiles didnt have proper heating with no UVB. Owner is not very knowledgeable. Dog and cats cages were full of pee and poop while the ower was on his computer.

Five, ten, fifteen and twenty stars. I love Daryl's pet shop. I love Daryl's pet shop!!! Everything about this shop is great. From their friendly employees, and the owner Josh/ Daryl and his wife, and their beautiful baby are the best. My 2 snakes are picky eaters, but Daryl's pet shop always accommodates me. I usually call to see if they have what I need, and since they know and order extra, I can always get what I need and more. How many other places go above and beyond for their customers?? Not many, but this place is phenomenal. From snake bedding to dog treats and everything in between: Daryl's pet shop is the only place to go. I have been to another pet store in Yucaipa, and it was good; but a little too far to drive. Thanks Daryl's pet shop for being amazing, you deserve an award for being fantastic on a daily basis.

Their staff really helped me when I was trying to decide on a type of snake that I wanted. I had done some research but it was so helpful to bounce ideas off of a knowledgeable staff. Will be back again!

The employees are stuck up and rude. The shop has been cleaned up a bit but i have seen many sick animals here they do not care about the animals welfare they are also very over priced and have a small selection

Overall

I was heading in to pick up some mice for my snake when I saw puppies in the window. There was also a flyer on the window from a private person advertising purebred puppies for sale. As much as I like to support local businesses, I will NOT patron a store that sells AND promotes purebred puppies instead of supporting local shelters & rescue groups. TOO MANY innocent animals (including purebreds) die every day due to over crowded shelters. Shame on you Daryl's!

Very personal advice and friendly service. Too bad they had to downsize their shop.

Pretty good place

I've been here a few times and it's a pretty decent place. They have a nice selection of items and their pets look pretty healthy. Customer service might need a little improvement but that's the same for a lot of places out there and it depends a lot on the individual person. Some of the people there are friendly and knowledgeable while others tend to keep to themselves.

On a side note I'm not sure that animals869 is correct in all of his/her information. Guinea pigs are naturally skiddish, the immune system doesn't play that large of a role if the pet is in a clean environment, a pet cant die from head tilt unless its an extremely bad case (which is very rare and still can be treated if dealt with in time), if a pet is being difficult its in its best interest to restrain it and the pet being difficult was most likely the cause for the nail trimming mishap.

Great store

This store is a kick. It's in sort of an industrial building but it's a pet store and they really have a huge variety of pet supplies. There is a complete wall of different types of dog food, they have frozen fish food and a nice little reptile product section. I liked the place a lot and would recommend it.

Bad service

I had gone here one day when I was going to get a guinea pig because mine had just passed away. When I went over to look at the guinea pig they where running around like I was going to kill them and I did not even touch them yet. So I went over and looked at the rabbits and they were liying in there poop and pee. That was discusting! I had found a rabbit that I loved and he is still living because he has a good emune system. Except that he has asthma and snot running from his nose everyday. My sister also got a rabbit the first one died of amonia. The second one died from head tilt. The third one had a diformatey and then died. The fourth one had a bad mental problem so we had to get rid of him. Their food is very expenisive for rabbits. Also when I took my rabbit to get his nails cliped they where so nasty to him. When they had to hold him down they rapted him in a towel because he was biting them. They had held him upside down on the table and cliped his blood veins and he was in so much pain. When I got him home I had to calm him down.
