We go to Lim's quite often and have always been treated with friendliness and professionalism and the food is served with politeness and usually within a few minutes from putting in our order

Family owned and operated this is a must when you are in Redding. Define try their Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Food is really good and you get large portions, which is great. Very fresh. However, my girlfriend and I had the displeasure of having the owner wait on us the evening that we went there. He's an older gentleman who wears glasses. Not only was he very rude, inconsiderate i'm rushing us out the door before we even got seated, but he said something very foul to my girlfriend when we went to pay the bill before leaving the establishment. Apparently, because he didn't agree with the tip that she left for him, because it wasn't a very big tip, due to his horrible service of how he treated us while we were there, on our way out the door, he called my girlfriend a "cheapskate" and, I also made a sarcastic remark, "your very generous", meaning, that he didn't appreciate the tip amount that she gave him. We were both infuriated and will never return to this restaurant. The gentleman who runs the place needs to learn manners. I do hope that he treats his friends and family better than his customers. It's too bad because the food is so good and the location is great.

Love Lims Cafe! Its the real deal. If you like to try new things, The Mongolian beef is amazing, It is hot so I order mild. Pan fried noodles are the best! The owners are kind and friendly. Its a long time staple in Redding. Its not a fancy place but once upon a time it was. Its been in business, for generations and hopefully years to come!

I have been eating at Lim's as long as I can remember first as a kid and still The food is the same now as I remember it as a kid I do not know another restaurant that can say this. I hate wen a restaurant changes it's food or changes chef's and the food changes you can count on lim's to be the same every time and the food is excellent.

We are longtime residents of the Redding area and have enjoyed eating at Lims for years. Its owners are always welcoming and friendly. The food is true to American Chinese. The dinning room is always our favorite to sit in and enjoy our meal. The dinners are huge and can feed 2-3 people easily. Our favorite is the Mongolian Beef...I have to order it mild but is it ever good! As well as the pan fried noodles for the chow mien. If your looking for an upscale and stuffy place this is not for you but if your in the mood for some really good Chinese food you will love it~! This is a family owned and operated restaurant and don't be surprised if they have a sit with you and talk about you or your family. They might even sing to you!
