        Reading Asphalt was founded in 1952 by Philip Cail, a Reading police officer. His strong belief in the old-fashioned principles of honesty and integrity became the cornerstone for our business. In 1974, Anthony Cail took over and expanded the business to include commercial paving and pavement maintenance. There are many paving companies out there, but none with higher standards or elevated skill level. A Word to the Wise! The asphalt industry is like no other. The opportunity to skimp on preparation and materials is almost overwhelming. Don't be fooled! A poorly constructed driveway will cost you twice as much in the long run. We dig out about 500 old driveways a year and the average thickness of those driveways is between 3/4" and 2". All of those people were told they were getting a good job, but none of them did. We have built our reputation on our word to always give you exactly what we promise.         The team from Reading Asphalt are Great! Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Tony and his team treat your home and driveway as if it were their own and in my book your lucky if you find that from a company.
