They literally lost my business from a phone call. I called regarding a State Fleet and Travel vehicle. They supposedly have the bid for state vehicle tires. The individual who answered the phone was the most idiotic, condescending person I've dealt with in awhile. All they literally had to do is come fill up our flat tire, take the vehicle, get four new tires for it, and make a bunch of money. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

BEWARE-Was having issues with the spark plugs and the connections on my Ford F-150 and brought it here before Thanksgiving for a diagnostic test which cost me $150. Was informed that the computer was not working that communicated with the engine. Told it was $1900 to fix it. Needless to say I was in shock, took it to McKie Ford (highly recommended) for a second opinion. They ran a diagnostic test and it was NOT the computer it was a coil and they had me fixed and safely on the road in 1 1/2 hours and $130.00 later. I do not recommend this company, I would of been out $1900 with a truck that still did not work. Find another place to go like McKie Ford-they know what they are doing.

Called to set up appointment for coolant system service. Told the appointment would be for 1:00PM, but bring your vehicle in at 9:30 AM.

What? I am not going to travel from out of town and then sit for three and a half hours waiting for my vehicle to maybe get iin at the scheduled time, especially when I had other appointments at 3:00 PM that I could not cancel if GWT sluffed off and didn't get the job done in a timely manner!

On top of that the service writer didn't even know what the monthly special for that service was!

This OUT OF STATE COMBAT VETERAN had nothing but a very GOOD FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE with Great Western who happens to be owned by a Viet Nam COMBAT Veteran!

Got great prices on my tires for my camper.Did outstanding work on my hubs for my F-350 4x4. Made sure all was right...double checked their work. Balancing was right on. And I can go on with little things they pointed out...geeeee...guess I am just a "rare exception" compared to the OBVIOUS PLANTS/COMPLAINERS sent from competition!

I saw regular folks "waiting" for however long it took to do the job. NO ONE complained. Smiled and thanked GW! Saw BIG RIGS in and out of the other store...repairs...tires for Big Rigs...immediate service because these guys NEEDED their trucks for their livelyhood. Saw dozens of BUSES from School Districts...Churches... etc etc..

So for a couple of "paid off LIARS" to say what they have in the other reviews is in my mind a CONFIRMATION I made the right choice in picking GW. They may not be perfect but I will say, they know what they are doing, have experienced qualified employees who do not "bait and switch" and I was not charged when there was a "honest mistake" in work and you won't either.

My experience was with a company owned by a fellow VETERAN who will take the customers side if and when there is a honest mistake. Given I talked with other tire companies...none sounded as knowledgeable as GW and so I know I made the right decision to spend my USMC Combat $ with Great Western!

I was traveling through rapid ...

I was traveling through rapid city when my car broke down, I called every shop in town no one would look at it until monday until I called Great Western Tire. They made room for me on a saturday morning even though looking at there parking lot they really didnt have time. It turned out to be a fuel pump that they stay after closing time to install. Thank You!!!!!!

Don't go there!

The service at this business is absolutely terrible. My husband and I each took in our respective vehicles one week apart to have our tires rotated. The tires were all purchased at Great Western Tire to the tune of nearly $2,000. We both told the service guys at the counter that we only wanted a tire rotation. My experience there took 1 hour and 40 mins with a lecture on what all needed to be done with my car, when all I requested was a tire rotation. I was even told that my brakes might need to be replaced soon even though they had just been replaced less than 4 months ago!! When confronted with that, the employee quickly back tracked on his statement. When my husband was there, the service guy at the counter was extremely rude after my husband complained of waiting for 3 hours!!! They told him they needed to inspect the entire vehicle, along with the fact that it's tourist season, and those were the reasons it took so long. The woman waiting with my husband was there for 30 mins - and you guessed it - she was having her tires rotated!! When my husband confronted "Mike", there was no apology, and an invitation to take our business elsewhere. Don't worry Mike - we will. And we'll be sure to pass on our experiences at your facility. My only hope is that your manager will see this review.

I took my truck to get a squeaking noise fixed (from the front of my truck) i get new a u-joint replacement and told this would fix my problem, all except a small squeak from my back brakes. After i pay the $200, i leave the parking lot and the sound is more severe than before. I go back and ask why this is this way, the very rude gentleman at the front told me that i need to repair the back brakes. I'm only fixing half the problem, and so on.....(basically said i was being cheap and not wanting my truck fixed) after i got cut down by the rude person. I take my truck else where and they realize (in 10 minutes) it is my drive shaft that needs repairing. NOT MY BACK BRAKES! So now my truck is fixed, no thanks to Great Western Tire. I'm not as mad about them not fixing it, its mainly the rude gentleman that work the front counter. So i will never go back again, or refer anyone there.
