Dollar General

I shopped at Randleman store# 04236 on 7-15-14. There were pricing discrepancies on 2 items. The first being DG paper bowls 40 - count. The only price shown on the shelf was for 50 count bowls at $3.50. The 2nd items were Capri Sun juice pouches. The red sale tag on the shelf stated B1G1 @ $1 each, so I bought 4, presumably at $0.50 each. Upon checkout as I watched the items being rung up I noticed I was charged $3.50 for 140 count bowls. Then noticed I was charged full price, $1, for the juices. I questioned the employee and was told the receipt would reflect the discounts. As I was in a hurry on my lunch hour I believed her, paid and left. That evening I read over the receipt and noticed I was charged incorrectly. The employee lied to me. I called the store to question it and was told (by another employee) the juices were not on sale and they would not honor the sale tag on the shelf because the tag is dated when the sale is valid. I asked why the tag was still present (she verified it's presence over the phone) if the sale was over and was told by the girl that they have a lot of sale tags to remove and they don't have time to get them all. I asked why I was lied to upon checkout regarding sale prices and discounts and was told I don't know. I asked to speak to the manager, who was not there. However I was told it was the general manager, Arifa, who processed and deceived me at checkout. How am I supposed to feel secure shopping at this location that has obviously has no customer service training and a new general manager every few months? I have informed my co-workers about this and even though this location is a 1/4 mile from our office we will drive a couple miles further to Walmart. It is unacceptable for things like this to happen. Especially when pricing errors would not be corrected and refunded, totaling approximately $3. I have no respect or loyalty for this location anymore.
