The pastor is a hateful and politically motivated blowhard who tasks his minions with trying to intimidate people at women's clinics. Hey, it's fine to not like abortions. It's not fine to scream at them in the parking lot.

So blessed to have found UR! To join with others who believe that God and His precepts should come first constantly challenges and amazes me. I used to wonder where the Protestant church was in the abortion fight as so many seem to be reluctant to step up, but here, we obey all of Gods Word including fighting for the unborn, working with those harmed by the lies of abortion and our permissive culture and really, constantly challenging each other to live holy and make a difference in this world. Like Jesus commanded the disciples. I am proud to have Pastor Wooden as my pastor-it's unpopular to stand against the grain of this culture but in order to be Christlike, that's what we are to do and UR does it well!

Pastor Patrick L. Wooden Sr is a true man of God. He stays connected to the Holy Ghost so that he can have a Word for the congregation. Many don't like him because of his positions against homosexuality and abortion, and especially because he doesn't drink the Obama Kool-Aid. But Pastor Wooden is more concerned about pleasing the God of the Bible, and it is evident that the hand of the Lord is upon him. I would recommend the Upper Room COGIC to anyone who is looking for a church home, or is visiting Raleigh NC. It's a big church, but once you get involved, you'll find out just how "small" it is, because you get to know almost everyone! ;-) Oh, and trust and believe, Pastor Wooden knows the congregants!
