Twin Specialties and Scooters Grill & Bar was established 1998 for the biking community in Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas. Joe Snow first started Twin Specialties in 1992 as a small custom bike shop on Whitaker Mill Rd in Raleigh. Joe’s dream and love of bikes inspired him to relocate to a custom built shop which would combine Twin Specialties with Scooters Grill and Bar, creating the premiere biker bar in the Southeast. In 2000 Jeff Goodwin and Mike Hutzler (local business and restaurant owners for over 20 years) gained ownership of Scooters Grill & Bar while Joe focused on Twin Specialties. Now Scooters and Twin Specialties work together to continue providing the biking community a place to entertain all their riding needs. Next time your bike needs service drop it off at Twin Specialties and head over to Scooters to enjoy their mouth-watering wings. While you’re there be sure to check out the band schedule. I would not recommend them for honesty... I bought a bike that was “as is” condition. I was told it would need a battery and that it had a weak starter. I was expecting to have to rebuild the carbs etc. As it turned out..the #2 cylinder was blown. Seeing how they have a mechanic shop on site and that they stated that it was running when it came to the shop... I expected to turn a wrench...but a blown motor! If you buy a used bike from them... don’t think that they will tell you the truth about the condition.. the will lie to you just to get your money. Sad thing is... I would have bought the bike had they told me the truth.. I would have offered less...but nonetheless... it would have went out of the shop with a standard of honesty... owner is a crook... don’t trust this shop.

Twin Specialties are very thor...

Twin Specialties are very thorough and professional. They pointed out a problem I was aware of, but had not talked to them about. However, they do not do any unnecessary repairs and even suggested that I did not really need a service I suggested they do, saving me lots of $$.
