My wife and I recently visited the Falls of Neuse location, as we received exemplary service from Corey in Brier Creek. He referred us to see James at this location due to his expertise with some of the merchandise we were considering selling. Upon arriving into the store, we were greeted well. Unfortunately, the events that followed went downhill from there.



Not only was James condescending in his tone to both of us, he was cocky and acted like every bit of information he relayed to us was to be treated as absolutely factual. When commenting on other offers we received from another jeweler (Reeds), he commented that I 'must have gotten a jeweler on his first day' and 'jewelers leave there and come and work for a real jeweler'. Also, when his bottom line best price changed as soon as I mentioned a competitor, I knew he wasn't shooting straight. EARN my business, don't buy it by trying to beat the other guy by $50.



Well, at that point, I knew it was time to go. As a salesman myself, I know better than to disparage another company to promote myself, to treat the consumer with respect, and to be personable. We ended up selling to Reeds for a few hundred more than James' offer. Oh yeah, it wasn't his first day either. He's been there for almost 20 years and treated us with respect.

nobody brings up the spot price and how close they come to it when they buy from us...THIS IS ALL THAT MATTERS IN THE SHORT AND LONG RUN...it just looks to me like fake reviews stacked from top to bottom

This place isn't as legit as it seems. And read the recent reviews (all within the same time frame), they are run of the mill, generic reviews that the owners probably created. I went in there 2 days ago with a pretty expensive ring to have appraised. There are a ton of diamonds in it and I was curious what it would appraise for. The guy quoted me $80, and kept referring to it as 'this little guy'. I was pretty disappointed when I left, I thought surely it would be around $1000. He told me anywhere I went would say the same. I took it to an actual jewelry store afterwards and was quoted $2900. So, don't believe every price they give you is my suggestion. Look around first - go to actual jewelers if you aren't just trying to scrap old . I guess if you're just trying to scrap, this would be a good place to do it.

Raleigh Gold Jewelry was a great surprise. I went in not understanding the process and not knowing how the selling of my jewelry I don't use anymore would work. I met with Peter who explained how they determined what had value and what that value was. He explained it step by step and I ended up with a lot more than I expected. I would definitely recommend this site for selling old or broken jewelry.

I am very picky about who I do my business with. I will definitely be going to see Raleigh Fine Jewelry again. Not only did they have a great selection of fantastic looking jewelry but the staff was far, far beyond helpful. For anyone living in the area, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

First we loved that fact that the door was locked and we had to be buzzed in. This made us feel comfortable and safe as we prepared to get an estimate on the bag of "junk gold" that we had brought in to sell and the jewelry that we needed repaired. We are a large family and not always able to have child care and therefore my wife and I we were doing business with our 2 and 4 year old. The staff was very sweet with the children and made us feel right at home. All of our gold was evaluated right in front of us. They were very open and fourth coming as to how the process of evaluations are preformed. Including not only showing us how the test for 100% of gold is done but actually showing us the solution bottles as well while preforming the test in front of us. After sorting our gold based on type as well as clearing out the "fake items", they provided proof that the scale was in fact collaborated before weighing the gold. We were at no point pressured to sell our gold. In fact we decided to keep one of our larger pieces. They made an offer at fair market value and wrote us a check on the spot. I really liked the fact the check was from a larger well known bank. We then evaluated the items that we need to have repaired and were given quotes as well as ideas as to the best way to in fact repair/repurpose them. We also looked at several bridal setting options for my wives wedding ring. At no point were we pressured or "hounded" around the store. My wife had plenty of time to window shop. I would also like to note that we in fact drove about 45 mins from our home to get to the store. While we did not purchase today, we will definitely be back. After all my wife made me a list and I couldn't pick a better place to make all her jewelry dreams come true.
