Leesville Road High School is a secondary school offering educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and is a part of the Wake County Public School System. The school offers classes in English, fine arts, foreign languages, mathematics, physical education, science and social studies. It has athletic teams for various sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, track, wrestling, cheerleading, gymnastics, softball and volleyball. The school s career center provides advice, contacts and services to students regarding career activities and events, and organizes various career and technical education exams. Its character education committee nominates students during the year for one of the character education traits, such as courage, self-discipline, perseverance, integrity, respect, responsibility, kindness and good judgment.
