Evans Carpet Corp

I cannot recommend Evans Carpet Corporation of Raleigh. My wife and I were building a new house and this was the builder's tile guy. I had a bad vibe when we first went into the store. Within the first 10 minutes, the manager was complaining about the margin in builder's work. That was my red flag.



The master bath room turned out amateurish at best. I complained and Evan's said there were no issues and that they did quality work. They in fact said to the builder's rep that if I knew the level of finish I wanted, they would have charged more. My agent thought that maybe I was being picky but when she went and looked, she said it was horrible. It was her involvement that got them to redo the walls and the shower floor. It was a fight and Evan's was quick to propose only the cheapest solutions.



Now after the redo, we have a low spot in the shower floor that holds a puddle of water. The proposed solution is to fill the dip with grout. To be clear, that would mean covering the tile and seeing a large area of grout. I really do not know who would consider that an acceptable solution. Take my advice and avoid so you do not experience the same substandard work.
