Simple Elegance Weddings and Special Events

GETTING MARRIED IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST DAY IN LIFE... not here with this venue. If you ever stopped and read a review, then this is the one you need to read. The owner of the Simple Elegance company ruined my wife's special day. I should have listened to advice from a friend who booked them and ended up cancelling because Melanie, the owner, was uncooperative. She even kept their deposit and she did nothing to deserve to!!! We had a huge wedding at the venue in Quinlan and this lady was so rude to my family and the guests that we had to ask her to leave her own house! The wedding ran late because it took extra time to set up the chairs because she wouldnt allow anything on her precious lawn. She verbally chastised our guests who attempted to go in her back porch door. I am the groom and I paid a large amount of money to use the venue...she even told me I was not allowed to use the front door with a nasty remark and sarcasm.

We can never have that day back again...what a blemish on my wife's special day.

My family couldn't believe how incredibly rude she was to our wedding planner, verbally chastising her and the planner was even 6 months pregnant!!!

Don't waste a dime on risking the most important day of your life with this place!

Also, don't expect to get your deposit back....she deducted a missing cigarette lighter for $7, somebody used ice from her ice maker that was a $40 deduct, and lets not forget her extra 'cleanup' charges even though we already had 5 people clean up everything spic and span.

This place is a fraudulent venue and has no integrity OR common courtesy to other people. Read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau website next....you will see what I mean.

Too bad its such a beautiful place to get married for ONE person to ruin it by taking away a special memory my wife and I DESERVED. There is nothing short of refunding all of our deposit and I PERSONAL apology can even solve.

PS....Who would not allow a wedding guest to change their 3 month old baby inside her house when its 95 degrees outside??? YOU GUESSED IT...THIS PLACE !!!!
