Ear Infections
Ear Infections The number of children who suffer needless ear infections is heart breaking. In an effort to bring some relief pediatricians continue to treat them with antibiotics over and over again despite enormous amounts of research showing this approach is of no benefit, and can even be dangerous. Once the antibiotics fail again and again, parents are often steered toward surgery to drill holes in their ears and insert tubes. In our office we often hear stories of this surgery being performed again and again, with one mom telling us her son had tubes a staggering 22 times! There is another way, in our opinion a much better way, to help kids move beyond the pain and suffering associated with ear infections.
